Hello everyone!
I know it's been a while. I apologize for not writing an update sooner. You have to understand coming down to the DCP, that once you get here, you don't stop until your training week or the end of your training (like me). I finally found out my attraction and I work at Soarin! It's fun and we have a great group of people over there. So, let's start at the beginning?
So, when I last left you I was leaving for Florida. I got up early with my parents and we drove down to Orlando the whole day Sunday and checked into our hotel that night. The next morning I met up with my roomies in the line at 6:30AM. *NOTE: You do NOT have to get there at 5:30AM future CPs, that is almost too early. We were about 10th or 15th in line, not many people were there that early. I recomend getting there before 7AM though, that's when it started to get packed.* My poor roomie Taylor got lost on the way, so she made it just in time at 8 to get in line but had to rush back and move her car so she wouldn't get towed, so she sadly did not have the same Casting time as me and the other two. I ended up being the representative for our apartment and we are living in the PC!
After getting our housing assignment we were automatically ushered to Casting, which is one giant labryinth of rooms to go through and talk to people in. I was only given my location as being Epcot and it killed me that I didn't know what ride and wouldn't know until my training in two days. After we had finished at Casting we headed back to our apartment to get settled in before the Housing Meeting at 3. After the meeting we grabbed some dinner (after having NO FOOD in our systems since early that morning) and then went back home to crash and work on unpacking some more.
The following day, they give you the day off to get settled and go shopping for Groceries and such. Then on Wednesday you have Traditions. Taylor and Valerie had the early morning session and Megan and I had the afternoon session. I can't talk much about Traditions but that it was fun, informative, and exciting. You meet many people and see many things that you just feel like your head is spinning when you leave. That night my roomies and I went to Magic Kingdom and had so much fun.
Then the next day my training began. I had training continue on from Thursday to this past Tuesday. I've had fun in training but it is a tiring experience. Then Wednesday was my first day on my own at Soarin'. It was scary at first but then I just relaxed knowing that I knew what to do from my great trainer and that I would do fine. I finally got my first days off yesterday and today. It's been a great experience so far and my roomies and I have been hanging out around the apartment and the parks for the past week and we get along great.
So, now that we are all caught up, I will have more updates soon and probably a new vlog as well. :)
